   Appearing as the head of the Evening Stars of Nebadon, I am sent to Urantia by Gabriel to tell of the seven initiations of the Lord of the Universe - Michael of Nebadon, and my name is Gavalia. In my presentation I will adhere strictly to the limitations imposed on me by my credentials.

 

   Consecration is an inalienable attribute of the Paradise Sons of the Universal Father. In their endeavor to approach the life experience of their subordinate living creatures, the various categories of Paradise Sons reflect the divine nature of their Paradise Parents. The beginning of this custom was laid by the Eternal Son of the Paradise Trinity, who sevenfold consecrated himself to the seven circles of Havona in the age of the rise of the Grandfanda and the first wanderers arriving from time and space. And the Eternal Son continues to devote himself to the local universes of space in the person of his representatives - the Sons of the category of the Michaelites and the Avonalites.

   The purpose of these incarnations as creatures is to enable such Creators to become wise, benevolent, just and considerate rulers. Justice is inherent in these divine Sons, but the experience of successive dedications gives them a merciful responsiveness; charity is inherent in them, but such an experience enables them to become merciful in new, additional aspects. These initiations are the final stages of their education and preparation for the performance of the lofty tasks of governing the local universes in the spirit of divine righteousness and just decisions.

  The Sons of Mikhailov proceed to the creation of the universe with a sense of complete and just benevolence towards the various categories of beings they have created. They have inexhaustible mercy for all these diverse creatures, just as they have pity for those who have strayed from the path, sinking into the quagmire of their own selfishness. But innate justice and righteousness are insufficient for the Eternals. These triune governors of the superuniverses will never establish a Creator Son as Universe Ruler until he actually knows the views of his own creatures by actual experience gained in the midst of their existence in the guise of those creatures themselves. Thus these Sons become prudent and careful governors; they know the various groups which they rule and over which their universal authority extends. Through living experience they master practical charity, the faculty of fair judgment, and patience, which are born in empirical existence in the guise of creatures.

   At present the local universe of Nebadon is ruled by a Creator Son who has completed his path of initiation; mercifully and justly reigns this ruler in the vast dominions of his evolving and perfecting universe. Michael of Nebadon is the 611,121st initiate of the Eternal Son of the space-time universes, and he proceeded to create your local universe some four hundred billion years ago. Michael prepared for his first untried journey, his first initiation, about the time that Urantia began to assume its present form, that is, about one billion years ago. His initiations took place at intervals of approximately one hundred and fifty million years, and the last of these passed to Urantia nineteen centuries ago.
